Remembering Charlotte Mouquin

Sometimes someone comes along at the right time in the right place and makes the right difference. That is how I think of Charlotte Mouquin, whose untimely passing has been a shock to all her friends and colleagues in the arts community. Charlotte was an artist, arts administrator and an educator; she was an advocate for other artists. I remember during Covid that she organized online studio visits with artists, allowing them to show their work to the community despite the closure of most galleries and museums. That was above and beyond, an example of her skills that were enormously appreciated in both Pelham, and in the broader Westchester and Rockland arts communities. What a loss she is to all of us.
